Artist’s Statement
Several years ago, I fell in love with antique Japanese kimono fabric. The weave and colorful patterns of the silk were overwhelmingly beautiful and inspiring. I began to collect them, cut them up and collage with them using my sewing machine like glue.
My work is abstract. I never know where the fabric will lead me. Every finished piece is a surprise. I hope this work will bring beauty and joy to those who see it.
